Located
at 1660 kilometers from Buenos Aires, its rich history,
its excellent routes, a modern airport and its tourist
circuits along landscapes crowned by hills and valleys
in where it is possible to practice all class of tourism
of adventure and the services to the tourist make of
the place a site to visit at any time of the year.

Inside
The Yunga
La
Yunga Subtropical is the main reserve of fauna of the
province. The Yunga Suptropical is the main faunística
reserve of the province.
Its high annual rain regime, more than 1000 mm. (40
inches), nearly serves to feed the leafiness of its
vegetation.
In its heart it is the Calilegua
National Park where inhabit the yaguareté,
the Huemul del Norte and the Lobito de Río, three
species in serious danger of extinction. In order to
visit the place in all its extension there are passages
and excursions on board of all-terrain vehicles organized
by professionals that last two days. Also, the tourists
can participate on cavalcades and trekkings to visit
differents towns and hills of the zone, campling included.
In the last case, the adveture last almost a week.

Hill
up by La Quebrada
The
Quebrada of Humahuaca is the most famous tourist sector
of all the province. The axis of this zone is La Quebrada
by which the runs the Río Grande (Great River),
boxed between multicoloured hills, the great natural
route of communication with the neighboring towns. In
all the region, the houses seem came out of the same
earth: of adobe, kneaded with earth and straw which
calls the attention of the great majority of the tourists
who visit it either by bus or just participating in
long walks, cavalcades or photographic safaris.

The
northest
A
wide bridge of concrete, where function The Customs
and Migrations Departments, serves to unite two towns
and two brothers countries: La Quiaca (Argentina) with
its rustic landscape and Villazón (Bolivia) with
the diversity of the clothes of El Altiplano.
With a population that does not surpass the 12000 inhabitants,
at 289 kilometers (179 miles) of the provincial capital
and at 3,442 meters (11,292 feet) above sea level, between
the second and the third Sunday of October of every
year comes to the town inhabitants of the most remote
places of the country to participate of the main celebration
of the villagers: The Manca Fiesta, where the exchange
is the main slogan.
