Located in San Martín de Los Andes, it's a city that offers all the neccesary services for the tourists. It has 29 snow tracks and it is well known for the great quantity and quality of its snow.

In the heart of the Cordillera, in the argentine southern province of Neuquen, San Martín de Los Andes is one of the places more valued by those who looks for the magical and cosy climate of an authentic mountain village. By a way that it is drawn with the typical beutaty of the Andean Patagonian, at only 19 kilometers the tourists accede dialy from the city to Chapelco Ski & Summer Resort to enjoy the snow, sun and the adventure. Located 1600 kilometers from Buenos Aires by land, Chapelco also receives tourists from Neuquén (436 km.) and Bariloche (245 km.)

White adventure

Chapelco has 26 snow tracks for all the levels. The base and the track 63 are ideal for begginers, but also there are black tracks, bumps and jumps for the most experts. The lovers of snowboard, on the other hand, are assiduous fanatics of the Halfpipe located in the cañadón to the left of El Palito, which was specially designed to make practices and competitions of different modalities. As far as slopes, the maxima is of 45º and the minim of 20º. The summit is at 1980 meters.

The esquiable surface has 140 hectares, with an esquiable unevenness (non-accumulated) of 730 meters. From the top of the quadruple chairlift (aerosilla) of the Mallín by the Passage to El Mocho, Track of the Prairie and combination with several tracks of the base, the maxima length is 5.3 kilometers. Chapelco boasts of its good and abundance snow during the "summit" months of the winter. The annual snow precipitation in the base is of 1.50 meters, and 2.50 meters in the summit.

All the services

In the base of the hill, underneath the building of the Telecabina, there is an ample and moder sector specially equipped for a fast and comfortable attention of the tourists. The place is known as Rental de Equipos and there the tourist can rent alpine skis, bottom ski, passage ski, parabolic ski, monoski, big foot and snowboards. The guarda dull ski and drought is in the same building and the lockers are in airconditioned rooms. The service of wardrobe is lent in two places: in the building of the Telecabina and in Antulauquen. In the same sector it is the repairs shop, under specialized personnel. It is open from 9 AM to 5 PM. The events during the winter season are numerous and of excellent level. As far as the gastronomy it is possible to be enjoyed in several points of the hill: the restaurant of the base, La Casita del Bosque (small house of the Forest), located at the right of the Triple Chair, Antulauquen Restaurant (level 1600 when coming out of the telecabina), Rancho Manolo (Manolo Farm) (level 1420), Refugio Graeff (Graeff Refuge) (level 1720), Pradera del Puma (Prairie of puma) and the Hostería Los Techos .
